Chris Hutchinson, Unicorn Outstanding British Companies
Although he has been running the fund since 2007, Mr Hutchinson remains below most investors’ radar because his fund is small, at just £41 milion. However, it has delivered great performance, with a strong emphasis on smaller companies, which make up 60 per cent of the portfolio, says Mr Hollands. “The returns on his fund are up there with the very top managers at 178.8 per cent.” This compares with a sector average of 61.4 per cent.
