Rethinking emerging markets – the growing role of EM in the world
How can investors seek diversified sources or return or alternative methods of achieving a high income? Mirabaud believes that Emerging Markets are an asset class that continues to be poised to deliver interesting investment opportunities. Mirabaud Asset Management are holding several meetings around the country with the Portfolio Managers of their Emerging Market Equity and Emerging Market Debt Funds.
Portfolio Managers Daniel Tubbs and Daniel Moreno bring significant experience across their respective Emerging Market asset classes:
- Daniel Moreno joined Mirabaud in November 2017 to run the Emerging Market Debt Fund, which has recently launched with £55m AUM*. At his previous firm, he was a Citywire + rated portfolio manager focused on Emerging Market Fixed Income
- Daniel Tubbs heads up Mirbaud’s Emerging Market Equities team and manages the Mirabaud – Equities Global Emerging Markets Fund, which has delivered first quartile performance over three months, one year and 3 years in the IA Global Emerging Markets Sector**
The mangers will look at the growing role of Emerging Markets vs. leading developed markets, and why now is the time for advisers to increase their historically underweight emerging market allocations to take advantage of risk/ return opportunities. The presentation will give attendees a high level overview of the current backdrop across Emerging Market equities and debt. This will be followed by some important factors associated with the Emerging Market Debt asset class, and for Emerging Market Equities, an exploration of industry themes that position these economies ahead of the developed world, such as technology.
Structured CPD credits will be available.
